Blake

Blake grew up with a genuine love for all genres of music. He began playing guitar in college, jamming in the dorms each night. After his parents gave him a guitar for Christmas, he hit the ground running.  Blake quickly became enthralled with guitar amplifiers; how they worked and what made them sound the way they do.

In 2004, Blake began his journey toward Yellow Rose by returning to school to become an engineer. This is where he met Justin.  During school, Blake began working on his first design. It took several tries but he finally came up with a design that sounded like what he heard in his head.

San Antonio born and raised, Blake decided on using the yellow rose in his logo design. With the help of Britney Fines he was able to create a look that is a mix between a neon sign and a tattoo. This logo can be found on every Yellow Rose Amp product.

Justin

Justin grew up loving and listening to music of all types any time he was able to do so. Even when playing music out loud was not possible, music was always playing in his head.

Justin finally got his chance to play music when he was selected to be a percussionist in the band in middle school.  He played various percussion instruments but by far his favorite was the timpani.  His dream of becoming a rock star drummer never came to be a reality, but he was OK with that.

Luckily, he had another dream and decided to pursue Electrical Engineering in college.  It would be in pursuit of this dream that he would meet his future business partner.

Justin and Blake sat next to each other and became lab partners their first day of engineering class. This was the beginning of it all. They never dreamed it would take them to where they are today!

In 2013, Blake approached Justin about the idea of starting a guitar amplifier company.  Even though he had never played guitar before, Justin was on board.  What started out as a dream and schematic drawn on a couple pieces of engineering paper has since transformed into Yellow Rose Amplification.
